All you need to know about our Lash services before booking

Should I Get Eyelash Extensions?

Contraindications are conditions or symptoms that restrict the treatment to go ahead. If you have one or more of the below conditions, we will need to re-assess whether we are able to do the eyelash extensions treatment:

  • Contagious or eye infection disorder Eg. Conjunctivitis
  • Hypersensitive skin
  • Stye (an abscess filled with puss caused by staphylococcus bacteria)
  • Swelling of the eyes
  • Cancer
  • Herpes
  • Cuts or open wounds in the area
  • Epilepsy
  • Claustrophobia
  • Semi-Permanent make up Eg. eyeliner (healed after 4 weeks)

There are some situations that might need written medical clearance like chemotherapy within the last 6 months or laser eye surgery.

How To Be Prepared for Your Eyelash Extension Appointment

  • Clean your make-up off thoroughly 1-2 days before arriving at your appointment.
  • Do not wear any mascara, facial creams or sunscreens. The oils from these products could interrupt the lash glue bonding process.
  • Remove your contact lens to avoid any discomfort, as you will have your eyes closed for a while.
  • Avoid caffeine prior to your appointment if you can. This prevents the muscles surrounding the eye from relaxing causing jittery eyes that interrupts the application process. This could lead to an even lengthier appointment duration than planned.
  • Use the restroom before we begin. You will have your eyes closed for at least 2hrs.
  • Feel free to find photos and videos of lash inspired looks. Let's bring your ideas to life.
  • Most importantly, please be on time. Give our lash artist enough time to pamper you and not feel rushed throughout your selected service. Sit back & relax. Don't forget, naps are welcomed. (:

Should I Get A Lash Lift?

We might not be able to go ahead with the Lash Lift treatment if:

  • You had a Lash Lift within the last 8 weeks. This is because it takes about 6-8 weeks for a Lash Lift to grow out so doing another one too soon may damage your natural lashes. For the health of your lashes, better to just wait and set your appointment for after this period. There might be an exception though. If you’ve had your lashes lifted elsewhere but the lashes haven’t lifted properly, you might be able to do a ‘remedial lift’ sooner than the 6-8 weeks. We’ll have to assess your lashes and let you know.
  • You are pregnant. If you’re in the first trimester, we won’t be able to perform the treatment as it has not been clinically approved for women who are pregnant within this period. After the first trimester though it’s fine. We still recommend a patch test to detect any possible reactions due to the hormonal changes.
  • You have had a history of previous allergic reactions to lash lifting. If you’re allergic to eyelash extensions, you still might be able to do a lash lift because lash lifts don’t involve the use of adhesive.
  • You have had laser eye surgery in the previous six weeks. Within this period, your eyes are still in the healing process, and any additional eye treatment can cause irritation.
  • Your eyes are inflamed, have a stye or are infected. Your eye area needs to be completely healthy for any treatments to be safely applied.
  • You are on hormonal medication. For example, roaccutane, thyroid medication. These types of medications make it hard to predict how effective the lash lifting solution will be, so we don’t recommend it during this period to avoid disappointment.

New to Body Contouring Wood Therapy? Let's talk about it!

What is wood therapy?

Wood therapy emerged from the oriental culture for thousands of years, but today it is still valid. In fact, it is quite requested and there are those who consider it effective. This is a body contouring treatment that is ideal for patients who are looking to remove excess fat. It is not a treatment to turn to for extreme or rapid weight loss. It best targets “fat pockets” under the chin, the belly, arms, flank, and back.

This type of therapy has positive effects to relax the body and reduce various types of ailments. It is even an aid to calm stress, muscle and joint pain, circulatory difficulties, among other diseases.

In turn, cosmetic benefits are attributed to it, since it is believed that its regular application reduces the appearance of cellulite, scars and varicose veins.

Other positive aspects of wood therapy include:

  • Increase physical performance.
  • Cost less in comparison to surgical treatments
  • Targets stubborn areas
  • Quick and easy appointments
  • Loosens Tight, Restricted Muscles
  • Stimulates Lymphatic Drainage
  • Eliminates Toxins
  • Speeds Metabolism
  • Breaks Down Cellulite
  • Burns Fat
  • Tones, Tightens and Reduces Circumference
  • Results from surgery are more noticeable and immediate. With non-surgical body contouring, it may take a few weeks or months to see a difference.

Is Body Contouring Right For You?

Non-invasive body contouring is appropriate for anyone who feels uncomfortable in their body due to stubborn pockets of fat, cellulite, or loose skin. The ideal client has already tried a healthy diet and exercise to target those problem areas with little to no success. An extra boost is what you need to take you over the edge and get you the body -9+ you’ve worked so hard to achieve.

Wooden Therapy is an effortless and efficient way of contouring the body without harming the skin or tissue. Each Wooden instrument has a specific use for a particular area of the body. Wood Therapy also helps fight cellulite on your body leaving it silky and smooth. Wooden Therapy will tone, reduce, mold, and eliminate stored fat in different parts of your body. This practice of Wooden Therapy can also give natural buttocks lift without having costly, painful, or invasive plastic surgery.

Wood Therapy Treatment Plan

The technique employs a series of repetitive movements using more than a dozen different wooden instruments. These tools manipulate targeted areas of muscle, fat, and cellulite, stimulating the lymphatic drainage system to rid the body of stored toxins. This release of toxins jumpstarts metabolism to burn fat. The manipulation also serves to break down stubborn pockets of cellulite, thereby shrinking disproportionate bulges and smoothing orange-peel dimples.

How Long Does Body Contouring Last?

How long your body sculpting treatment lasts depends on a few things, including the type of treatment you choose and your lifestyle choices post-treatment.

In treatments where fat cells are targeted, the loss of those fat cells is permanent. Any progress you see post-treatment can be extended with a healthy diet and exercise, as no body contouring treatment should act as a replacement for healthy living. These treatments are a great way to target stubborn areas that haven’t responded to your efforts at diet and exercise.

How To Prepare For a Non-Surgical Body Contouring Treatment?

Stable weight is key: Ideal candidates for body contouring are individuals who are at or near a healthy weight. Not only do significant weight fluctuations possibly affect the beauty of your results, they also increase the risk of complications during and after surgery. You should have body contouring only after you have reached or are near your target weight and have maintained this weight for several months.

  • Establish healthy habits: Recovering from body contouring takes time and adjustment. Establishing healthy habits before treatment can make the recovery period easier. For instance, if you are already eating healthily before treatment, you will be in a great position to recover more quickly.
  • Focus on the end goal: Much like losing a large amount of weight in the first place, seeing your end results with body contouring will take time.
  • Drink plenty of water before your appointment: This will prevent you from being dehydrated. This will make your treatments more efficient and kick your metabolism into gear. Drinking lots of water post-treatment will only improve your skin’s elasticity.
  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing to your appointment: Your contour personnel will need easy access to areas being treated by the device.
  • Remove any jewelry & put away electronic devices before starting your treatment.

Contraindications of Body Contouring Wood Therapy

It is essential to go to professionals when performing this procedure. One misapplication can cause inconvenience rather than benefit. In addition, its practice must be avoided in some cases. In particular, these are its contraindications:

  • Kidney diseases
  • Considerable burns or skin lesions
  • Skin infections or diseases
  • Patients diagnosed with edema
  • Hypertension
